A native of Austin, Texas, Aaron Lyons has carved out his place as a hospitality leader through unconventional means. As a young business consultant with Deloitte Consulting, he traveled to cities across the country and noticed a distinct lack of quick, affordable options for fresh, healthy meals. A lifelong athlete, he longed for restaurants where he could dine regularly without compromising his health or his budget. While it was easy to find fast food or thoughtful meals at pricier, sit-down venues, no one was combining the two, so Lyons set out to do just that.
In its first seven years, Dish Society has grown to six locations, and will continue to expand throughout Texas and nationally in the coming years. Dish Society has been recognized as one of the nation’s top eight “Breakout Brands” by Nation’s Restaurant News, one of the nation’s “Top 30 Emerging Restaurant Chains” by FishBowl Marketing, as well as one of QSR Magazine’s “40 Under 40 Concepts.” Additionally, Lyons launched a new full-service casual brand called Daily Gather, which he intends to develop and scale along the same trajectory as Dish Society.
For his efforts, among the many accolades and critical praise garnered by the brand both on a local and national scale, Lyons has been named as one of Houston Business Journal’s 40 under 40, and as the Greater Houston Restaurant Association’s Restaurateur of the Year. Lyons has served as a Board Member of both the Houston and Texas Restaurant Associations and currently serves as a Board Member of the Spring Branch-Memorial Sports Association. Aaron is also actively involved in the Houston chapter of Entrepreneurs Organization (EO).
Aaron Lyons received his bachelors as well as his MBA from The University of Texas and currently lives in Houston with his wife Stefanie, their son and twin daughters.
