Kelli Ferrell may be tiny in stature but she is a multifaceted serial entrepreneur and a powerhouse in business that includes the kitchen and beyond. Growing up cooking with her Nana in Maryland, Ferrell is proud to bring family recipes to the masses at her infamous Georgia-based restaurant, Nana’s Chicken-N-Waffles which now has two locations. Nana’s Chicken-N-Waffles, a family oriented, Louisiana/Maryland style diner includes food items such as: Cajun Shrimp Po’Boys, fried green tomatoes, beignets, and Nana’s warm banana bread. Of course, given the restaurant’s name, customers will expect some true southern chicken and waffles. With two restaurant locations Kelli has appeared on Food Network and regularly scheduled on various televised cooking shows. Here, Ferrell could be called a jack-of-all-trades serving as greeter, expo and food runner, problem solver, general manager the list goes on depending on the day.
Ferrell also released her cookbook, “Kooking with Kelli,” which is filled with delicious southern meals and mouth-watering dishes. In this collection of recipes you will learn to cook soul-satisfying homemade food with most requiring short preparation and cook time.
Ferrell has been seen on The Hallmark Channel, The Food Networks “Ultimate Thanksgiving Challenge” as well as her most recent appearance on The Own Network’s newest cooking show “Food Fantasies.” Outside of cooking shows she’s been recognized by the press such as: Good Day ATL, Sister Circle TV, KTLA, and Good Morning Washington to name a few.
As a devoted wife and mom to five girls, she is also a public speaker. She has been recognized as a “The Most Influential Woman in Atlanta” as well as a “Top Wedding Planner.” With a degree in fashion merchandising and design, Ferrell moved to Atlanta in 2003. She founded “One Fab Event” where she specialized in wedding planning and design. A member of the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce, she believes in supporting local charities.
