Widely viewed as an innovator of the Boston restaurant scene, Chris Jamison entered the industry in 2010 after a background in real estate finance, determined to turn his passion for nightlife into his vocation. A young, informed and eager trendsetter, Chris opened Lolita Cocina & Tequila Bar, envisioning it as a place that blends polished dining and custom cocktails with buzzy, club–like surroundings.
In 2015, he opened Yvonne’s to elevate the restaurant/nightlife hybrid concept even further, pioneering the modern supper club and providing discerning hospitality through high-touch service, food and drink. RUKA followed in 2016, introducing Bostonians to the unique flavors of Peruvian Nikkei cuisine. Quickly thereafter, a second Lolita opened in Boston’s Fort Point neighborhood.
Chris opened his fifth restaurant, Mariel, in the fall of 2019. Located in a renovated bank, Mariel is an ode to Cuban culture. In early 2020, Mariel’s subterranean counterpart, Underground at Mariel, followed. An upscale nightclub, Underground channels the raucous, rebellious spirit of the Cuban revolution with unexpected elements woven throughout; together, both venues turned an empty downtown financial district location into an evening and weekend destination.
In 2021, Chris opened Coquette in Boston’s Seaport neighborhood, an elegant dining and drinking oasis that draws inspiration from the culture and cuisine of the Mediterranean coast alongside Cocorico, a French–inspired boulangerie located within the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport. Chris later opened Caveau in 2023, a first–of–its–kind nightlife destination that entwines spectacular cocktails, shareable cuisine, and a breathtaking sensory environment, leaning in to COJE’s groundbreaking ownership of Boston’s evolving nightlife scene.
As CEO of COJE Management Group, Chris has built a tight–knit leadership team to continue to propel his vision for Boston’s restaurant scene to new heights with his constant laser focus on social dining and design, and creating fun and lively settings that blend old–world hospitality with contemporary indulgences. Today, Chris continues to propel COJE forward, and is slated to bring an inspired, ultra–modern noodle and dumpling bar to Boston’s Seaport in 2024.
