Howland Blackiston

Howland launched his career doing award-winning creative work on Madison Avenue. In 1979 he co-founded Juran Institute, Inc. (pioneers in continuous quality improvement) and built the Juran brand into the most prestigious quality consultancy in the world. As a principal and co-owner at King-Casey, Howland serves a portfolio of Fast-Casual and QSR restaurant chains. He has led foodservice and menu optimization projects for many of the world’s leading restaurant brands, including Starbucks, The Habit Burger, McDonalds, Subway, Burger King, Wendy’s, and many others in the US and abroad. Howland has been a featured speaker at hundreds of conferences, workshops, universities and special events. Traveling to over 40 countries, he has delivered addresses on all continents (with the exception of Antarctica). Howland has published hundreds of professional papers, authored four books, and participated in television and radio broadcasts worldwide. He has been a featured guest on CNN, NBC, PBS, The Discovery Channel, Sirius Radio, and others. Collectively, Howland’s publications have been translated into 16 languages.
